All eyes were on the red carpet at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards to see who would wear what on Hollywood's biggest night. Fashion fans waited with bated breath for a glimpse of Natalie Portman's Oscar dress: The actress wore a stunning rich purple draped dress by Rodarte.Natalie Portman is a Golden Globe-winning Israeli-American actress. Portman has appeared in a number of films including "Garden State" and the new "Star Wars" films. 2010 was Natalie's year: The actress received Golden Globe and Academy Award nomination for her riveting role in Black Swan and announced that she is expecting her first child.
The 83rd Annual Academy Awards were held February 27, 2011 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. James Franco and Anne Hathaway hosted the festivities, which honored the best films of 2010. Hathaway, who employed her stylist gal pal Rachel Zoe to dress her for the event, looked fabulous as always. And as well she should: Zoe's fee was reportedly astronomical!
