Will the 83rd Academy Awards Broadcast Be Spice Up with New Hot Young Hosts

Watch the 2011 Oscars live online to see if young Hollywood actors Anne Hathaway and James Franco nail the new hosting gig or crash and burn. The 83rd Academy Awards live telecast on ABC and online streaming will begin February 27, at 8 pm ET. Online red carpet specials, where the most spectacular of awards show fashion is expected to be showcased, will begin at 6 pm ET.

Hathaway and Franco (nominated) will be the first-ever female/male Oscar hosting duo. It's a tag team effect that works well for the CMA's, which have been successfully hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood for the past three years. The Academy is attempting to bring in viewers with the two younger hosts, but they can't succeed on looks alone. Hathaway and Franco will have to 'click' and bring on the funnies.

Academy Awards Presenters

Out of the many stars who will be handing out golden statues, there are a few who are just more fun to watch than the others. This will be Russell Brand's first year presenting at the Oscars, but the English comedian/actor/singer/author can be counted on to say the hilariously unexpected. Actor Hugh Jackman will be presenting and proved during his 2009 hosting duties that he can more than meet the challenge of performing live. Mila Kunis, snubbed for Best Supporting Actress in Best Picture nominated "Black Swan", will present. It will be interesting to see how genuine her smile is.

Other presenters include: Tom Hanks, Amy Adams (nominated), Javier Bardem (nominated), Annette Bening (nominated), Halle Berry, Cate Blanchett, Jeff Bridges (nominated), Josh Brolin, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Nicole Kidman (nominated), Jude Law, Matthew McConaughey and Oprah Winfrey.
