Nicole Kidman was one of the Best Actress nominees at the 2011 Spirit Awards. Kidman plays a bereaved mother in John Cameron Mitchell's Rabbit Hole. Aaron Eckhart and Dianne Wiest co-star.
The winner at the Spirit Awards was Natalie Portman for her performance as a ballerina in distress in Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan. Both Kidman and Portman are also in the running for the Best Actress Oscar. Portman is expected to once again come out victorious.
