Victoria Jackson sure loves to talk about politics.
The former "Saturday Night Live" star joined a panel called "Getting Started in Hollywood" at this year's Conservative Political Action Conference, or CPAC. While some panel members, including Variety deputy editor Ted Johnson, doubted there was a widespread movement to suppress conservatives in Hollywood, Jackson disagreed:
On the eve of the 2008 election, Jackson appeared on "The O'Reilly Factor" to express her concern about seeing then candidate Barack Obama's picture on so many magazine covers. "It's like Castro in Cuba, or the guy in China," she said.

"They just don't dislike Christians, they hate God," said Jackson, who later added, "You don't know how liberal it is, even the Christians are communist. ... Do you see me on TV? No. Do you see me in movies? No."Her remarks have reverberated around the Internet, but it's not the first time Jackson's staunchly conservative viewpoints have raised eyebrows.
Jackson also called President Obama "a communist," and said that she became politically active recently "because we elected a communist."

In a 2009 appearance on Sean Hannity's "Great American Panel," Jackson cheered: "Fox News, yay! The only one with the truth, yay!" She went on to say that she wanted Rush Limbaugh to be president of the United States.
In 2010 Jackson combined her two careers (sketch comedy and conservative politics) in this parody video created by the Pasadena Tea Party Patriots. In it, she plays a gum-chomping, scatterbrained Meghan McCain. "Wars happen," says "Meghan." "It's just, like, no one wants them to happen."
"Progressive is the new word for communist," Jackson said in a 2010 interview about the tea party's plans to protest Sen. Harry Reid in Nevada. "Our government is all evil right now."
