It’s reported that a movie about the rise of online gambling in the late 90’s is due to star A-list actors including Willis, Zeta-Jones, and Justin Timberlake. The film will be based on the memoirs of Beth Raymer. Raymer was a cocktail waitress who teamed up with a group of maths whiz kids to become major players in the world of online sports gambling. She was introduced to the world of gambling at a relatively young age, just seven years old, where she helped her father choose dogs based on the bowel movements they made before a race – her father believed lighter dogs ran faster. Willis is confirmed for the starring role of Dink, a gambler down on his luck, while Zeta-Jones and Timberlake are alleged to be in talks with the producers for staring roles. Timberlake apparently being pegged for the role of a Long Island bookie that heads up an off-shore sportsbook. The director of the Focus Films production, Steven Frears, has gone on record as saying that if he can land the A-listers he wants, then filming would begin in April. | |||||||||||||||
